Launching the Youtube Channel Trailer for The Startup University.
Millions of entrepreneurs launch new startups, and of those that survive, 96% remain really small unknown companies. It’s only a few – less than 4% startups – that scale beyond $10 Million, $100 Million, or even $1 Billion in revenues.
I asked this question to many startup entrepreneurs.
If you are an Entrepreneur building a Startup – then, what are the challenges you are facing today?
Many Entrepreneurs took some time to answer this question. And every entrepreneur was talking about some difficulties. But on further analysis, they were all facing the same kind of problems.
Problem: Startup Challenges.
Some entrepreneurs said they needed investment. This investment was required for scaling their operations.
Other entrepreneurs were worried about their cash flow. Some could not recover money from their customers in time. While others could not pay their employees on time. Causing a constant stress to the entrepreneur.
The other problem that came up often during the discussion was people problems. Either they could not find the right candidates to do the job. Or when they had the right candidate could not manage the workflow. Yet others could not get the optimum amount of productivity from their employees.
Another problem that came up, again and again, was a drought of customers. After the initial excitement of building the startup was over, finding customers was turning out to be a problem. Some lacked in marketing and sales skills while other lacked in retaining their existing customer. Yet others were dealing with massive support issues.
The common pattern of problems I could hear was people and cash. These are the top two things that every entrepreneur has to master. Once he is able to do this the next thing is execution which includes every area of the business.
After a lot of discussion and analysis, I came to a conclusion.
Every startup faces a common set of problems in their beginning years. The startups that survive are the ones who have learned from their mistakes or from the mistakes of others. But the best startups are the one who is constantly learning and improving themselves every day.
Solution: Channel Dedicated to Startups.
To my mind, there is no single solution applicable to all the startups. Every startup faces different problems and their solutions will be different. Though every startup can learn from another successful startup. Some strategies and principles will work in most situations.
Based on this understanding and from my own experience of building startups and helping in other startups, I have decided to launch a youtube channel, The Startup University.
This is a Youtube Channel dedicated to answering the question of Entrepreneurs and finding examples from already successful people across the world.
